Michael B. Jordan Has Ideas for Creed III

Like the Rocky empire, theatergoers might expect a Creed series as well. While nothing is yet official, Michael B. Jordan has already expressed interest in Creed III with having a place for WBC World Heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.

"It's a cool idea," Jordan said to TMZ. "[Wilder is] a good character as himself. That's one of the great things about Rocky films and Creed films. We try to bring real boxers into it at some point. So, you never know."

Wilder recently went to the mat for himself, telling Sylvester Stallone "Call me!" in an interview expressing his passion for acting. Stallone said he would "absolutely" welcome the possibility of Wilder playing the son of Clubber Lang, Rocky Balboa's Rocky III opponent played by Mr. T.

It makes some sense: In Creed II, Jordan's Adonis Creed faces off against the son of Ivan Drago, Viktor, played by hulking real-life boxer Florian Munteanu.

The six-foot-seven boxer, with a 40-0-1 record, known as “The Bronze Bomber” aspires beyond the ring. He said that his “passion is acting” and that he would eventually prefer to “act like I’m getting hit, not actually get hit.”

The Alabama native has been on the rise as a presence for local Black power and excellence.
